Meet April's Featured Cacher of the Month - Sir_KDizzle
How long have you been geocaching?
5 1/2 years
How did you end up getting into geocaching?
My dad and brother introduced me to geocaching. I was hooked after finding a few caches around Enger Tower in Duluth. I went with them a few times before heading out solo.
How did you choose your handle?
Not a very exciting story. I was an accounting major in college and was given the nickname k-dinero (k-money) by classmates which somehow evolved (or devolved) into k-dizzle. I took the liberty of adding the "sir" to the beginning to make it sound more official. Thus my handle was born!
What town/areas have you most enjoyed caching in?
I love all the great spots in Duluth along the superior hiking trail and anywhere along the north shore. I may be biased because I was born and raised in Duluth.
What is your favorite type of cache hide?
I'm somewhat of a picky cacher. I really enjoy finding old caches, especially when the original logbook is still in play. I'm also really into challenge caches and am constantly looking for caches that help me progress towards an obscure challenge.
What was the most famous cache that you have found?
GC30 - Mingo. We drove quite a few miles out of the way to visit this one!
Do you enjoy hiding or finding more as your part of the hobby?
I definitely enjoy finding caches more than hiding them.
What is a favorite caching memory of yours?
My favorite caching memory is when I found GC3EHXK Highline. My dad, brother, a friend and myself all took turns making it across the wire to the cache on a beautiful March day. That was the most work I had ever done for one smiley. A close second is the day I finished GC1A4FT A Cache A Day ... The KB 100 Challenge
