Than was the point. I have been at this only since July and I know others that are new that would probably want to get more involved.

Question Are there any other out-state people out there that would be willing ???

Could always reorganize into smaller self contained regions, or "chapters" with a looser central organization tying them all together.

The first year we tried to get non-metro folks involved but no one was really interested (except for ck from Mankato and several of his relations). The second year a couple of us on the first board stepped down in the hopes that outstate folks would get elected. So we have tried.

There now seems to be a larger number of non-metro cachers interested in being involved and I say we do whatever we can to get them on the board. Where/when could we meet that would allow for the most inclusiveness? Hinkley area on a Saturday? How do southern-MN cachers feel about moving it further North?

Do we alter the time/place of this year's election or wait until next year?

Let your opinions be heard!

Looser than what we already have? Is that possible?

More importantly do we elect ALL boardmembers once a year or do we elect 50% in the fall and 50% in the spring (as the meeting minutes describe)?

Is Hinkley an acceptable "half-way point" for all interested parties? Is there any interest from people out in loneeagleville?

If we are going to to 50/50 every 6 months we can do our thing here this time and elect the other half in the spring at a more mutual location.

With the self contained chapters, the semi annual meeting location could rotate from chapter to chapter. with each taking a turn at setting it up and hosting it.

A centralized meeting location that remains static would be ideal.

problem with centralized static local is that some will always perceive it as unfair. Someone will always have to drive farther. Arguments for central static location being in the twin cities because that is where a large majority of cachers are is just as valid as arguments for a geographically central meeting place. If the location is allowed to change, then sometimes you drive, sometimes you don't. A central location will ALWAYS be unfair to those that live on the northern and southern borders of the state. Of course, the farther away we move the meeting, the more nominal those differences in distance become...Hawaii anyone?

I'm the someone that perceives the moving idea as "unfair". It's no different.

You have declared it unfair, but you have not stated WHY it is unfair.

Vacancies include......
Co-chair, Secretary, Treasurer and 2 possible board positions.

Is anybody stating that they want a spot?? Or is the lucky few that don't show up going to be given a spot???
