I finally got my Eagle Project through all the paperwork and a date has been set.
We will be marking storm drains on Saturday, September 25th, 2004 - time=TBA
More information on the project is found HERE
The Friends of the Mississippi is a great organization and I am excited to be working with them on this.
The area we are doing is in St. Paul between Albany St and Nebraska St off of Hamline (near Como). I would really appreciate some geocacher help with this project. (and we will be placing a permanent cache in the small local park there in honor of the occasion)
Water and soft drinks will be provided the day of the project and my mom has promised me that she will buy a couple rounds of adult beverages at the next Get Sauced event for those who come and help out. (we can't serve beer at a scout event - sorry)
I will have more information and will have some coordinates ready as soon as we go scout out the area a bit better. |

Nice project. Barring unforeseen circumstances, I hope to be there to help! _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

I'd like to help too, but someone else got to me first. Wish I could do both, but I've already promised on the other and it lasts most of the day.
Good luck, hope to hear back about how it went. |

Timing may be an issue.
Let me know when the time/length has been nailed down some. I'd like to help.

Eagle Project eh? I wish I didn't have to turn down a fellow Eagle...
My Nephew from the North Branch troop was just starting his
today. I'll be skipping out on a big family party next Sunday
to help him with his. I think he's fixing up some area parks
and trails or something. Really wish I could attend! Sorry... |

Hi, We are meeting in the (very) small park off of Arona between Albany and Almond streets in St Paul. The neighborhood is right between the state fairgrounds and Como Park.
The coordinates are N 44 58.727 W093 09.907
Mapquest map can be found CLICK HERE
We are meeting at 9am on September 25th. I will be set up at one of the picnic tables in the park.
This should only take about 2 hours if we get enough people. Even if you can't stay the entire time any help at all is appreciated.
There are two jobs - one is the painting job and you will need to wear old clothes for that and the other is the informational door hanger job where you can just wear your regular clothing. If it rains we will not be painting, but will still distribute the flyers to that area.
I will have water and soft drinks available at the project. Thanks in advance. |

Hey. perfect timing. I will be down at the State Fair grounds for the State 4-H Dog Show. I think I can bring some 4-H'ers to help out, so if you don't mind a few "Iron Rangers", we will be there. |

I will do my best to help an aspiring Eagle. I've got a lot going on this weekend, but I will make this a priority.
