I didn't notice that, but it wouldn't surprise me.

per the website....

The Bull Shipper - 50 ounces!
$30.99

home to "the Bull Shipper" - a 50 oz (yes, just over 3 lb) premium steak served along with the usual western beans, corn, salad, and bread. The waitress will bring you the steak on a 9" round plate, which you will not see because of the meat hanging over every bit of the edge. ohhhh, yeeeeeaaaaahh!

It was around 5:30PM when they finished shopping at the market and since they didn't eat lunch they were both starving. Lori suggested they go to The Trail Dust Steakhouse out in Mesquite and Nash was all for it. He could go for a good steak, but why all the way out in Mesquite? Lori explained that she was taking him to the rodeo after dinner and the steakhouse was right next to there. They arrived at the restaurant about half an hour later and were seated. Nash ordered a beer for him and Lori and they started with an appetizer called the Starter Sampler which had fried cheese, Hot Flashes (stuffed Jalapenos), Fried Mushrooms, Fried Zucchini, and onion rings. Nash ate the Hot Flashes. Lori was not a fan of jalapenos and she got a kick out of watching him eat them. Apparently he wasn't expecting them to be as hot as they were. She had to give him credit though. He ate them all and he helped her to finish the rest of the stuff. After they finished their appetizers the waitress come over and took their order for dinner. There was something that was bothering Nash and he had to ask the waitress.
Nash: I have 2 questions.
Waitress: OK, shoot!
Nash: First, is this a misprint on this steak, the Bull Shipper, on the menu...50oz, that's a lot of steak.
Waitress: Nope, not a mistake, but if you can eat the whole thing, it's free!
Nash: Your kidding?
Waitress: Nope!
Nash: Ok...give me one of those medium rare and she will have The Cowgirl Steak, medium rare as well.
Waitress: Ok and what was your second question?
Nash: Oh yea...why are there cut off ties all over the walls?Lori laughs and so does the waitress.
Waitress: Because no ties are allowed in here. The fellas that were wearing those ties didn't want to take them off so we had to cut them off!
Nash: Your kidding?
Waitress: Nope! If we cut your tie off we give you a free drink and put your tie up on the wall...but like I said, no ties allowed. Your safe though. Your not wearing a tie. Now, I will go turn your order in. Back in a bit with your salads.
Nash: You know, I almost wore a jacket and tie and you never said a word.
Lori (laughing): I checked what you were wearing before we left. I was not about to put you in a situation where you might shoot the waitress.
Nash: I wouldn't have shot her but I sure would have been pretty damn mad if they cut my tie!
Lori: I kind of figured. But like she said...your safe. Your not wearing a tie.
Nash: I can't believe you didn't mention this when I was getting ready.
Lori: Oh, don't be such a big baby! You didn't wear a tie and I was watching out for you anyway. Now just relax and drink your beer.
Nash (laughing): Kind of bossy tonight aren't you?
Lori (smiling): You don't like it?
Nash: No it isn't that...I just hadn't heard you use that tone before.
Lori (smiling slyly): Well you did some things this afternoon that I hadn't seen you do before either...
Nash laughs and puts his hand across the table, palm up and she places her hand in his. He gently squeezes her hand.
Nash: Your haven't seen anything yet sweetheart.
Lori: Is that a threat or a promise?
Nash: A promise!
Lori: I can't wait.
Dinner came to the table and they ate. Nash ate his entire steak and Lori and the waitress were both amazed. They ordered coffee and Lori ordered some hot peach cobbler with ice cream and when she did Nash groaned. She laughed at him.
Lori: What's the matter?
Nash: I LOVE peach cobbler.
Lori: Well, order some.
Nash: Very funny.
Lori: What's the matter sweetheart? Did you eat too much?
Nash: I am beginning to think so.
Lori: Tell you what, if you want some of my cobbler you can have some. That way you don't have to order a whole one to eat by yourself.
Nash: heck, I don't think I can even get another bite down.
Lori: Well, if you want a bite it will be here.
Nash: Thanks.
While waiting for their coffee and dessert the band started playing and Lori wanted to dance but Nash said he was too full...so she got up and went out and started dancing by herself. The song was a Shania Twain, Feel Like a Woman. He laughed at her but then realized she wasn't really dancing by herself she was dancing in a line with a bunch of other people. Nash had heard about line dancing but had never seen it done before. After watching for a while he thought it looked like fun, but there was no way he was getting out there and making a fool of himself. Lori came over, grabbed his hand and pulled him out on the floor. She showed him the steps, they weren't hard, but he couldn't keep up at first. He finally got it and he actually enjoyed it and then the song ended. She grabbed him around the waist and kissed him and started moving her hips to the beat of the next song. He laughed.
Nash: I can't take you anywhere.
Lori: Hey, this is Texas sweetie...anything goes as far as these cowboys are concerned!
Nash: I'm not used to people being this "relaxed" out in public.
Lori (smiling): Why be uptight. Relax and have a good time. heck, you'll never see any of these people ever again so who cares!
Nash: Now who is being nuts?
Lori: Oh well! (as she dances her way back to the table)
Once back at the table they have their coffee and cobbler. When they are finished Lori asks Nash if he is ready to head on over to the rodeo and he says he is. Dinner was on her and she insisted on it so she paid. Nash wasn't too happy about it but he let her pay.

Have you met any other Minnesotans? Specifically, Gordy G., he's a friend of mine that works at the Monticello pro shop. He went there with his son and I haven't heard anything.
