Thanks for hosting it - I had a great time. Great turnout, but too bad most people left early! Was glad to double up in poker, but when I switched to betting on horses I realized I had to quit after two races and just watch. Fun times. Thanks!

Sorry we didn't make it!
Nick passed his test and will be getting his Ham radio license in about 8 days!
It was after 8 when we left the testing place in Apple Valley, stopped at my folks house in savage to pass the news. They took us out for dinner to celebrate and the night got away from us.
Next time! _________________ APRS: Combining Hamradio with a GPSr.

Congrats to Nick on passing the test (just the technician one?), I can see where a little celebration would be in order on that.
As for the event, it was fun. Never been there (never really had a reason to go) but it was an interesting experience. |

| Thanks for the event! It was our first time to the park, even though we drive by it just about every day! After getting there I realized I didn't really know anyone so I didn't know who to look for, but after a little searching it was all good! And hwo about the Old Ductch nachos for a buck?? Does life get any better than that? |

| hot dogs weren't too bad for a buck either, especially after you load it with toppings. |

The payouts (Win, Place, Show) are on the event page for my picks.
Nine of Eleven picks were in the money, but of course, I didn't bet them correctly. |

| I just went to Cantebury for the first time on Sunday; they had a family day with lots of stuff for the kids to do, we had a great time, and even though we only bet $2 we had a great time watching the horses run and all the activities going on. If people from MNGCA/GC are going, I'd be happy to join in! And I did see a sign for the Thursday Night $1 admission, $1 pop, $1 dog, so $3 and you are in and fed, seems like a good deal to me!! |

| I will leave work around 5:00, and try to get down there by 5:30, but with traffic it will probably be closer to 5:45. If we do caching prior to the races, where should we meet, and when? |

What time would we have to be there to get good seats? Meet in the parking lot at Memorial Park at 5:45?
|
I'll be there at 5:30-5:45
My brother-in-law will probably have a table, so we can get there whenever. It doesn't sound like many are going anyway.
The outdoor deck tables will probably be reserved/full because of the boxing. So basically we'll just be at a table in the uBetcha bar, then go from there. |
