|
|
I have a non-geocaching coworker who is going to go down into the Soudan mine. I though for sure there would already be a virtual cache down there that he could "find". But I'm not turning up anything.
It seems like an obvious place to put a virtual. Was there ever a virtual down there?

The Soudan Mine is a Minnesota State Park. Are virtuals allowed in state parks? _________________ LIFE IS GOOD;CABIN LIFE IS GREAT |

Yes, typically they are used to bring the hunter to a landmark such as the start of the Mississippi. They are usually publically accessible, so no bushwhacking or other activities harmful to the environment. Also, there is nothing foreign left behind in the park (cache containers). To prohibit virtuals would be tantamount to forbidding a certain class of people (geocachers) from enjoying the sights that the general public are invited to see, and in many cases, provide the sole reason for the existence of the park. _________________ I am amazed by how many people harp on the need to speak and write English in this country while exhibiting a fundamental lack of skills in the areas of spelling and sentence composition. Would this be irony, hypocrisy, or both? |

Looks like the cheeseheads are going to be taking the brunt of the neutrino stream. What an excellent plan! Nobody will notice a few more mutated cheeseheads.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. |

Oh, I've been down there. Went on a school trip with Salsa Bean. It was great. I would have liked to have seen other levels. The elevator ride was a trip though. _________________ Save the earth.
