Early Starts found Boreas Rex XII (C. A. Maley) (Traditional Cache) at 7/7/2004

Log Date: 7/7/2004
Spent a bit of time here playing detective. Found about 2 and a half caches. Took the "Pig's Eye" Laker from a fake cache. I think the fake cache was made to look more real by ae0al on June 4th by writing on the top and putting a log and insturction sheet into it. Kitch must have thought it was the real one and placed the laker into it.

I found the real cache nearby containing Boreas' log and winter carnival buttons. Ko-tis-vey had found this one and reported that the Laker was missing.

I removed the geocache writing from the fake cache but left the empty container there since it may have been intended. I moved the contents to the real cache.

Rocky is looking better in his old age but is still there. Thanks for the great cache! And, ae0al and Kitch need to try this one again.

What would you do if you found an ice cream pail, log book, cheap coins, and a trinket knowing you had to find a kingB cache??

oh did I mention it was at a Large Beacon?? And the rest of the area was all under water???

Kitch, Kitch, Kitch, fess up. You couldn't find the cache so you created one yourself and logged it as a find. Laughing

But you do have to go back and find the real one for it to count, or the King may take away your find. Crying or Very sad

Well it could have been worse. I could have added to your signature:

I can rehide a cache 6 inches from original spot....100% exposed and "Hider" can't even find it in broad daylight, but I can't find the real cache when it's only 3 feet from the ice cream pail!

Twisted Evil
OK after sleeping on this last night......

I'm going to make a cache that is just "twisted"!!!!!

I'm going to put out a "real" cache with 25 fakes (each container will have a logbook and the name of the cache written on it).....and then I'll go and see if you logged the "real" one.

That really doesn't equate.

I guess the question is who and what was the container you found. If it wasn't one of the KB caches did the log book have the cache name?

Maybe someone else didn't find it and decided to leave a cache there so they could log it. The plot thickens, or at least something that stinks.
