I completely forgot that the event was THIS Wednesday. Woo. Beer and bowling! I'll be there and I won't be doing any caching I don't think. Marsha will be tagging along and we all know how she gets _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

For those of you attending, make sure you bone up on your bowling and watch The Big Lebowski.

Did something happen at the last get sauced event that is putting you guys off from doing pre-event night caching?
In fact, something is up with the whole MnGCA community. Cache logging has slowed to just a trickle. Its bizarre -- we were logging more caches/day in January than we are in July.

I'm taking my summer break again. In the last 30 days I've found 7 caches: 5 of them were caches that I did just because I happened to be in the area anyway, one was for a laker piece last round and one of them was doing my friend's first hide.
Compare this to winter where I was doing up to 100 a month. I will likely get back into the swing of things again in the Autumn. Probably never to the amount I was this last winter, though.
Also, a lot of other people seem to be away from the geocaching scene as of late. Towlebooth hasn't even posted the July cache of the month yet.
Can't wait for beers and bowling on Wednesday!

| I've been pretty active, at the end of the month I'll have done 100 caches in July. Then again, I'm still a newbie and haven't decided to slow down yet. |

Last year I started caching in June. I did a handful and stopped until late August. I cannot stand the bugs, the heat, and the sweat. It's just not enjoyable for me when I come out of the woods covered in bites, ticks, and salty water.
I have been terribly busy with getting things ready for my move into our new house next month. I was on vacation last weekend and it was the first time I had cached since 7/3!
Summer is the time to do everything I want to do when it's nice out. Winter's the time when I have to suffer through it and caching just helps me make it that much better _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I've found as many caches in the past six months as I did in my first 30 days. I know I'm just a whole lot busier in the summer. The heat and bugs are a big factor. The fall and winter seem to be better suited for me, anyway, and give me an excuse to get out of the house. I
'll be trying to get to the event tonight, not sure if I'll have time for the pre-caching, which kinda sucks. I haven't hit many caches on the east side of the cities yet. _________________ Former weasel... |

I haven't done a lick of caching in a month.......
I'm kinda a little burnt out..but I think the stress of moving is what killed me but also KATIE has started T-ball and is nice to spend some "other" time with the family. Since only KATIE likes to cache (my wife doesn't really "get" it....but with that being said....I will only take Katie out to caches I've been 2....at least until she gets a bit older.
but I will be there tonight....
I have a few friends that are showing up......I might skip the bowling and just do the drinking... |

it looks like several people ar NOT going caching before the event. What time are you going to show up at the alley? I live in Faribault, AND have to be at work at 5am thurs.
I may be there as early as 8:30 or so.

I might be there around 8:30-9:00pm as well. I've done a couple of the area caches already, and the forecast is thunderstorms. I'll be indoors. I'm not a geo-stud.
If you're interested in bowling, Shane, we can get a lane and do 10 or 20 frames before the event (invite open to anyone).
By the way I will be bowling a 300 tonight.

| I've hit all the caches in the list, save one, oddly the first one on the listing, so I'll plan on hitting that one first and then show up at the alley. Hopefully the storms will hold off just long enough for that. |
