As anyone who has hit a cache soon after I have knows, I normally use a Sacagewea dollar as a trade item--that's what the change machine at work dispenses, they're easy to carry, and they only cost a buck. Lots of people think they're neat, and I'm usually the only one to use it as a trade item, so I guess it has become kind of signature item for me. Every once in a while, I'll spring for a package of Hot Wheels or Matchbox, or if I see something like a package of mini-carabiners or something else small that would make good trade items, I'll use that, or I'll use some of the stuff I've traded for as trade items, but when I run out, I'll go back to the gold dollars. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |
