I was reading the Winconsin groups' forum about this issue and it looks like the direction given to local groups is distribute them however you would like. Jeep would also like them to be out in caches quickly. Our group has an elected board. They should make the decision.
My suggestion is post a message, ask those who are interested to request one, have the interested parties pick them up (or for greater Minnesota folks send them) and see what happens. If they are not all requested, have the board drop them in caches. Like it or not, this is a promotion arranged between the two players and we are all just the pawns.
If you want to request one and keep it as a shrine on your mantle. Fine. If you want to drop it so the next cacher can steal it, move it, or whatever, fine. Remember these are only toys with little pieces of metal attached. There will be several thousand of them. I doubt the collectors market for these items will be very big but if it is and you can sell it, fine. Treat them as if they were just plain old bugs and some will go missing, some will travel and life will go on.
This endless hand-ringing really makes us all look petty and bush league. |

Some people don't VOTE on Cache of the month if they are uninformed!!!
For example---I would never vote for a cache I've NEVER been 2 Before.
Even if the write up is GREAT.
Its like voting for "silent bob and Marsha" just because you liked the brady bunch.

Sorry, I just feel kind of funny voting on caches I haven't visited myself. I do read the posts and descriptions though. _________________ I am amazed by how many people harp on the need to speak and write English in this country while exhibiting a fundamental lack of skills in the areas of spelling and sentence composition. That is me. It makes me put that cache on my watch list and "to do" list.

Doesn't matter what your vote is on the mcGEO-toy's but cache of the month is an honor. |

Distribute them in geocaches, log them in properly, and get over it.
Either that or give them to the 3 or so people that actually care to see them and have them do what they want with them.

You are correct. That is why any vote for a cache of the month should be an informed one. For me, that means having personal knowledge of the cache. _________________ I am amazed by how many people harp on the need to speak and write English in this country while exhibiting a fundamental lack of skills in the areas of spelling and sentence composition. One option was left out of the poll: Couldn't care less _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Poll will only be open until Wednesday night...... then the thread will be locked.
The FINAL method of distribution will be decided, it will be fair and unbiased toward anyone who wants to find Tbug.
.....And then this discussion is over. |

The "discussion" will just be getting "hot" at the "get sauced" event since that event is on "wednesday night". |
