| Another series you could do one week is dyl1231's "bikeathon" series. Drop cars at Old Chicago at 7 and 101, carpool up to Bennett Park (<2 miles), then walk down the trail to collect 7 caches. Its a short walk from the last cache back to the Old Chicago. The walk is woodsy, but you wouldn't call it "woods" since this is suburbia. |

KC0GRN - a good idea. There are good caches in Lake Elmo Park Reserve. The only problem is that the park closes 30 minutes after sunset. It would be more "evening" caching than "night" caching. I have a Washington County Parks sticker, so I can help carpool. My office is close to the park and could serve as a good meeting place.
Lastly, Awada's Woodbury is right near there and would be a good place for afterwards: good variety of drinks and food, can suit larger groups and it's right off of I-94.
Perhaps the next week after Apple Valley is dominated.

Shoot I'm still considering doing Dyl1231 and rickrich's A Hard Walk Around the Neighborhood
Nice to have a cache that makes you walk once in a while.
But I'd be interested in doing that bikeathon with a group one of these times. |

I don't think that either would work at night. Perhaps you can get a group together to do the Bike-a-thon or the Walk-Around on a weekend during the day or something. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

Bikeathon is on the Mtka loop trail system, which is open until 10PM. |

Thanks for the info. We'd have to start at 6pm or so in order to hit all the caches. Especially if my fatself was going to participate. Contrary to popular belief I'm not exactly in the best of shape. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
