Is it possible to get the coordinates of a location in a park, without going there. For instance, if I want to hide a cache in the torpedo at Como. I can locate the approximate location on a map. Is it possible *mark* that spot on a map, and get the coordinates?

Is it possible to do over 50 locations on the same map?

Well, since I logged the torpedo as a locationless, I know its at
N44.9795 W-93.14497.

Maps? Ive used Lost Outdoors - It allows making multiple points on the map, if you have the coordinates- Ive used other maps, such as USA photomaps to determine
the coordinates by mousing over an ariel shot. Not really accurate, but you can get close.

Hope that helps.

KB, get USA Photomaps.

That will allow you to view an overhead satellite map of the area, and wherever your cursor points, it will give you the coordinates for that point. One problem is they're in decimal form, so you'll have to convert them to the geocaching standard via the coordinate conversion website.

I'll walk ya through the install if needed.
