Directions to get to Lagoon Park if you are interested.
To get to the park you need to turn off of hwy 7 by the city hall/fire hall onto Canton ave. east. (There is a stoplight at this corner.) You will only go about a block. Then turn on to parkway drive (north between the City hall and the apartment building) follow the road under Hwy 7 and you will see the park. _________________ King of the Jeff Gordon TB's!

We talked about this a little bit yesterday, and Lagoon sounds perfect.
3 tentative dates: 2nd weekend in May, 1st or 3rd weekend in June
I'm guessing June. |

KB, were you still planning on coming out this direction?
I still think we need to have a BB or an event out my direction sometime in the future. _________________ King of the Jeff Gordon TB's!

LE,
The next open BB slot for "greater MN" would be December. I'm sure if you find a location and submit it to whoever will be posting them then, that they will get it up for you. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

Anything ever happen with this?
I've found some great caches around Jackson/Windom. |

I have not had time to even think about this with how busy I have been at work. It will probably not happen this year. We'll have to try sometime next year. _________________ King of the Jeff Gordon TB's!

I would like to suggest Willmar area for the spring greater Minnesota area event. Plenty of caches in this region and close to SD and you can take highway 12 out from the cities. It would give me an excuse to visit this area (oh yeah-I have a relative living in Willmar too). _________________ Summer is too short |

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the 2006-2007 board forms a committee to assist/run the spring event. That would be an excellent opportunity to get involved in the process.

Pearhead might be working on this. He asked for some info last night via a pm.
Only thing is I hope that he doesn't plan it on one of my guard weekends. |
What I am working on now is the next non-metro Breakfast Buddies event (December). BB events are on the last Saturday of the month (this would be Dec 30). I'm not sure yet where I'll set it up for - still working on it. _________________ Hmm... |

I was just trying to quote what Former Hawkeye said. I was tired this morning and thought they were reffering to the BB type event.
As far as the GWMGTG goes, I can't commit to anything on this other than some possible locations to have an event. I sent some info to SB a year or two ago about the possibility of holding an event at Garvin park about 10 miles south of Marshall. I have a cache placed in that park (Garvin Park GCGZHG) now. There is PLENTY of room there to hold a great event with lots of space to hide temp caches in. If they were going to have one out this direction that would be the place to hold it. There are two camp areas in the park with about 30 campsites between them both. _________________ King of the Jeff Gordon TB's!
