Email notification on watched threads seems to not be working for me anymore. Anyone else having this issue?

I have been getting *some* notifications and not others. It seems that when people get the SMTP error it might not send out the notification at that time. It still posts the message to the board just not to the email...

Heh. I got notification for this thread. =)
I think you're right - it seems to be just some... and likely related to when people get that mail error perhaps.

| SMTP error, that's not good. That's Simple Mail Transfer Protocol for those who don't know. Yeah, if that errors you aren't getting mail. |

We've been having this issue intermitently for a few weeks. I've tried several things to change it, but have had no luck. . .
When something breaks and stays broken it's much easier to fix than something that is only broken some of the time. . .
I'm focused on some upcoming (this weekend, really!) additions right now but next week I'll really try and tackle this.
What I've seen is that when you get an error after posting an article, a reply or a PM the post worked but the email notification did not. No need to repost. |

Appears as I'm getting zero e-mails in the last couple days or so, on all threads I'm watching.... just FYI.
No biggie - I come to the site frequently enough anyway.
