when poking around the tech talk thread, i saw a reference to this promotion from several months ago. having never heard about it until today, i assumed coke dropped its plan for this promotion.

(anyone remember the promotion from about 10 years ago, where you could open a can and have cash pop out of it instead of finding soda inside?)

unfortunately for me i'm a devout pepsi guy, so there's even less of a chance i'll win the gas-guzzling chevy equinox. if they really wanted to do the winner a favor, they'd give her/him a hybrid car.

I am normally an R/C guy. I saw this too. I might have to drink more Captian Coke or Jack & Coke now Smile

I hope, after the contest, you will see a couple of these on ebay. I would like to take one apart.

Most likely coke will take the cans back when the person calls in on it. They probably don't want them running around on their own.

True, but I could see a couple Coke won;t get back. It'd be tough for them to get them all back. Though they will know where they are if the Can gives out a GPS signal.

Yeah but I'm thinking since those probably aren't cheap to make or use, coke isn't going to give them out for too many kinds of prizes, probably just the cars. And if someone gets one, they're obviously going to take the car and give up the can.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get my hands on one if I could, I'm just thinkin it won't be that easy.

oh perhaps there might be one from a coke employee or something afterwards on ebay, suffice to say, they won't go cheap.
