OK so its 4 sentences. But I speak and write government gobbliegook.
An Oregon based international high technology hide and seek game played using a system of satellites, computers, and receivers (called Global Positioning System or GPS) that is enables the player to determine a relatively exact latitude and longitude of a handheld or vehicular mounted receiver on Earth by calculating the timing differences of signals transmitted from orbiting broadcast satellites.
Individuals/teams create and place containers (also know as caches) of various sizes (shoebox to pill bottle and sometimes smaller) in locations around the world and then posts the hide locations on a gaming website (www.geocaching.com) for the seeker to read.
The seeker (also know as a cacher) retrieves the hide locations from the internet site, determines its placement on the earths surface through the use of the GPS receiver, travels to the determined location, seeks out the hidden cache, upon finding the cache signs an enclosed log book, and then logs his find on the internet website.
The term geocaching is a derivative from the words geography (The study of the earth and its features and of the distribution of life on the earth, including human life and the effects of human activity) and cache (A place for concealment and safekeeping, as of valuables). |

Edit:
A global treasure hunt where the player hunts cleverly-hidden and sometimes waterproof boxes of golfballs and sometimes even goodies using an often broken website and a satellite-guided Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver that works well unless there are lots of leaves on the trees. |
