Planning is in progress.

It should be noted that this year the event WILL be different. It will be held on a lake setting and not on the river. Logistics are being worked out now with Dakota County Parks for the event to be held at Lake Byllesby instead of Miesville Ravine.

That sounds deep! (An obvious concern for me!)

With boats also how would that work? Electric motor of course to keep the wake down for paddlers.

It's still a paddle event.

Since this is not the cache listing, may I inquire whether canoes / kayaks are for rent at this new site, or do I need to start befriending boat owners / saving up for my own boat and roof rack now?

The logistics of providing boat rentals is being worked out. The county rents boats at the park but not sure they have enough. Working with rental joint in town to try and get a trailer load of them brought over for the event. If my efforts fail, the event will be moved back to the usual venue.

Having said that, it's always nice to have a friend that owns a boat Wink
