Accepting Nominations...

Although we will accept nominations at any time, this thread is to remind everyone that we are accepting Nominations for Cache of the Month for August of 2013. You can submit COTM nominations by using one of the following three methods…1) Send msteffel or I (ArcherDragoon) a Private Message through MNGCA.org or 2) Send msteffel or I (ArcherDragoon) an Email through Geocaching.com or 3) Post a nomination in this thread. Nominations need to be written in a way that gives the reader a spoiler-free description of what make the cache special. You must include the Cache Owner, Cache Name and Waypoint with your nomination. Your nomination must also include a brief write-up for the cache (at least a sentence...but I would prefer something a bit longer...I honestly think we are capable of writing a couple sentences or a nice paragraph).

For full details check here, but the short version - if you find an outstanding cache, reply to this post!!! Nominations for August 2013 Cache of the Month will remain open until the end of the current month (July 31st).

We wanted to nominate GC44JT1 - DrJBroke's Game of CLUE.

It is an interesting take on the Clue game where you visit rooms to get alibis and coordinates to other rooms until you can make the final accusation. The cache has a fun mix of hides and terrains leading to an interesting final container. In five months it has managed to collect 28 favorite points - over 1 every 6 days. Makes for a fun family orientated experience.

Nomination from TriggerMN:

For August cache of the month, I nominate GC3AP3P, I Think I Will Stop Here by Accordiongal.

This one has something for all serious cachers. It's a devious puzzle to solve, as well as a difficult journey to sign the logbook. TOTT's are a must. It will make many cachers swallow their pride and overcome their fears. It's also a cache that finders know they will be remembering for a long time, as many have taken and posted numerous pictures of the adventure.

I would like to nominate GC42J7C Lefse all year long!

http://coord.info/GC42J7C

This is a Whereigo cache and it was my first. tonkaMN & I had a good time going on the journey involved in this cache. Questions will test your knowledge on a certain topic and if you don't have the caches along the way it's an added bonus!!!! I thought it would be a fun cache to do with family and even non caching friends.

We would like to nominate GC3JZ70 "Whomping Willow" by Boreal Walker

This cache is a tree climbers paradise. Located in a small out state town, Whomping Willow is a good old-fashioned tree climbing cache. Located high up in the tree the hunter must attempt a retrieval with minimal handholds. This cache is our favorite tree climbing cache to date!
