The details are still in question, but this is a thread worth keeping an eye on: http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=308623

It *appears* as though Groundspeak may no longer allow non-Premium members to log PMO caches, or at the very least, will allow the cache owner to delete such logs.

While Groundspeak has never seemed to be overly concerned about the wishes of its existing membership, a petition from MNGCA and other local geocaching groups may well be in order, should this turn out to be true.

I don't believe it, you’ll be back. Resistance is futile.

I didn't know that this thread was going to be about me. You must be a Premium Member to post to this thread. I just decided that.

I'm not impressed. Mom & Dad have a premium account, if a child has a basic account (why have two premium accounts in one family) the child can't log the same caches, even though they were all together. Sounds like a money grab to me.

Two reasons I use this option:

1. I use a location that can handle a little traffic, but the cache would disappear if "the masses" descended on it.

2. I really like the audit log, especially for puzzles, challenges and letterbox hybrids.

The solution is simple. Boycott PMO caches.

I agree in principle. If only boycotts ever worked.
