JUST HOW RELIABLE ARE THOSE CACHE LOG ENTRIES OF?

Coords were off
The GZ was off for us
Coords were a bit off
Coords had me south of where I should have been
Coordinates weren't exactly spot on
Loose coords

A view of the cache satellite imagery just may be helpful?............YIPES!

OK,...Is it actualy bad coordinates as stated by the logs or bad imagery?

CURIOSITY RESEARCH TEST EQUIPMENT USED:

RESEARCH TEST DATA LOG: (48 coordinate readings) & averages.

GOOGLE EARTH COORDINATE SEARCH LAMPOST:

SURPRISE!!!
The GPS 60 agreed with Google Earth image coordinates and
the GPS 76 & 64 were within 1 meter!

What next? Google Earth/GPS accuracy within a foot? Laughing

Nice research, but one piece of info is missing. What were the listed coordinates?

My curiosity trigger was..........

http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5DCXW_10-000-steps

Cache coordinates N 45 06.205 W 093 16.273 were entered into Google Earth search. (below image)

Displaying the middle of a parking lot?

The image accuracy can be helpful when having to log those "DNF's" due to loose coords. Very Happy

OK, I misunderstood. The way you presented it in your initial post made me think that the cache log entries you cited were for a cache that was found at the coordinates in your experiment. I thought you were illustrating how far the listed coordinates were from the actual location.
