I've received two emails since requesting them. I guess we are first in line to receive between 50-60 since we are a "formal organization". It will be at least a month before they send them out. As far as handing them out, we haven't really talked about it. Probably just give them out at upcoming events is probably what'll happen, but I don't know for sure.

I can't make it to the next event. Have guards that weekend. Are any going to be sent out our direction. Montevideo? I would like to at least say that I had the chance to log one.  |

All that plus you will need to USPS some of them.....
Some need to get sent up to Duluth area, some up to loneeagle for his area, some down to farmerted area, some to the Anoka area , some in the Hudson area, some up by Team hooligan.... not just at events.
Statewide organization needs to spread them statewide. |

| Has anyone heard when they are going to start getting these out to be able to put them in caches. If the game starts in June, you would think they would have distributed the caches to the groups by now. Anyone heard any updates? |

I guess I don't understand how this is a "game." You enter to win the Jeeps by going to the jeep.geocaching.com website. I just assumed the travel bugs are just in-cache advertisements for the promotion.
Am I missing something?

I think the "game" will be to try and get one of the travel bugs, not really much of anything you win though (besides the drawings, which you enter online anyway).
I did hear that there'll be some contests that a prize will be awarded to people posting the best pictures on the travel bug's page, along with other things to do with the travel bugs, but those will be judged. I figure if I'm creative enough with one, perhaps I'll win one of those contests.
When it comes to a random drawing, I might as well go out in a thunderstorm with a long aluminum pole and hope to be stuck by lightning before I figure I have a chance of winning a real Jeep. |

I talked to MTN-MAN on monday nite...he said they have the jeeps but not the tags.
They are also wanting to put the tags on the JEEPS...
I told him thats a dumb idea...he said he would tell Haydee and Irish about the idea...but groundspeak wanted to have a KegParty for tagging them.
No idea on tags yet. |
