As I type this the StarTribune has just projected Mike Freiberg, aka Sparkyfry, to be the winner of the election for Minnesota House District 45B.
Freiberg said that he is a strong supporter of the Geocacher-American community and that Geocacher rights will be a high priority for him in the upcoming legislative session.
Well, technically he didn't actually say that but he could be thinking that.
Congrats to Mike! _________________ Sig line? I don't need no stinking sig line! |

I hope he is planning on trying to pass a law that every Monday is Geocacher Holiday...and thus a paid day off for geocachers to continue their weekend caching.... Congrats Sparkyfly! _________________ Effective parks and recreation facilities do not just happen on their own. The Minnesotans for More Puzzles SuperPAC congratulates Mr. Sparkyfry on his victory.
I'm looking forward to hidden messages and links to geocheckers in Minnesota legislation. |

For purposes of this subdivision and subdivision 1, any7funds provided under section 473.757, subdivision 2, for extending library hours1of operation shall not be considered amounts provided by a city or county for9support for operating purposes3of public library service. Poor Sparky, outed as a legislator. First bill should outlaw constituent rants during Weeknight Caching. My mom was a public official . . . . |

I'm proud to say I'm a member of that PAC. Oops does that violate any disclosure laws? |

Remember: SP challenge caches have to be related to geocaching, not to deciphering legislation.
Best wishes to you, sparkyfry. |

As a friend and fellow geocacher, I wish you congratulations and good luck. But as a member of the vast-right-wing-conspiracy, may all of your legislature time involve toil and troubles.
Hey Mike, in all seriousness, if you could do ONE thing for me while serving your time, draft legislation that would make the Metropolitan Council AN ELECTED body rather than the way it functions today. Un-elected officials should never have the kind of power and spending authority that they've been granted. |
