That's what I did last time:
WIN 95, WIN 98, WIN ME, WIN NT, Excel, Word, Basic HTML,
got a lot of nice little certificates, but other than learning nested lists, and excel formulae (?), a waste of time. I want something I can use.
What's up with Linux? Any point of getting into that? |

For the general public, no. Linux has A TON of things to offer. Easy use is not one of them. It has made incredible strides in the past few years but I can't say that I would go so far as to recommend that everyone use it just because it is there and free.
I use Linux for a lot of things. I also use Windows for everything else. If you are a general computer user I don't see the need to change everything over to Linux. Yes, there are plenty of people out there that will list countless lists of items to show how Linux is better. I used to be one of those people... I just think that Windows is the standard and it is easier getting along in a Windows world running Windows than it is getting along in a Windows world running Linux. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

| I'm taking the Windows XP Home Networking course. It mentions the HPNA - Home Phoneline Network Adapter - which I have and never used. I know this isn't the best, but is this REALLY a possibility? |

Maybe..Looks to me like you would need to find a ISP in this area. |

For about $100 all you need is a wireless router and windows XP pretty much does everything for you. I just added another computer to my home network and all I did was plug it into the router. It found my wireless laptop and my other desktop. I can't beleive there is a class on this. Or maybe I've missed something.
