| When I'm out in the woods this time of year I'm constantly looking for Antler sheds. I've never found one, but I'd love to hear if someone has. |

The only place I've found any is in Yellowstone, and alas, you have to leave those there. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

| The antlers that I have found have been totally by accident. I mean I wasn't really looking for, but happened to bump into them while wandering aimlessly through the woods. Kind of like geo-caching. They were always in the spring time just after the snow was gone, so I would think that a winter like this would be a great time to find some. Unless because they are exposed, due to of the lack of snow, the little critters that chew them up can get to them sooner. I'll try to keep my eyes open for more this spring. Any reason to get out is good for me!! |

| Our daughter is looking to find some of these too. However, if the BUCKS I saw in the backyard the other day are any indication.....they still seem to be attached to the deer at this time. |

I saw a buck today that has shed his already. Time to start looking. Of the ones I've found, most have been hanging in the brush. _________________ Ahhhhhhhh, the power of cheese! |

In all of the time that I've spent in the woods, I don't recall ever stumbling across a shed (not that I've ever been looking for one either). _________________ Hmm... |

Topgear has been lucky finding them. _________________ Remember One does not need the MNGCA to geocache, but the MNGCA does need members to survive. |

I have a nice one sitting on my desk that OtherHalf and I found a few years ago, in a metro park. _________________ "We never seek things for themselves-what we seek is the very seeking of things"-Pascal |

| Before I started caching, I used to spend a lot of time looking for sheds, never found one. We found one while caching on the big island in Nelson lake (WI) one summer, and I found 3 full skulls, 2 were bucks, this winter. I have a few others I have stumbled across over the years. I saw a nice buck 1/28/12 that still had both antlers, nine other deer with him were antlerless.[/img] |

I found one when I went caching with a small group of people after the last caching event I attended in Duluth. Kalli01 was nice enough to carry it for me since I didn't remember gloves. It was just the one antler. It may have been a ten point buck that it came from. My best prize was when I was working. My husband and I were working together in April of 2012 not far from Isabella. While he was busy seeing the birds I should have found, I was hauling a moose shed out of the woods. Some devoted worker I am. I was holding it by the end that attaches to the moose's head above my shoulder and it lay the length of my back and thighs down to my knees. Then I had to hold onto it while we snowmobiled out of the area. It was great. My arms did hurt for the rest of the day. _________________ Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
