WeekNIGHT Caching: Wednesday, January 18th, 7:30 pm
OK, I'll put something out there. I am working my way through Rickrich caches and saw two newer ones in the West Metro.

| There is a parking lot in the park. I am not sure exactly where it is but that is where we'll meet. If someone has coordinates for the parking, let me know! |

Brand new park... I am taking a guess at the parking coords, as the googly earth map does not show the "entrance" but this should get you close...
N44 59.439, W93 36.816.
Small paved entrance on north side of "old highway 12", it is on a bend in the road, so be careful on the approach, not sure how many people would expect a turn up into that spot. _________________ round n' round we go! |

May make this one. We'll see.
Thanks for setting it up.

This park is named after my oldest friend's mother-in-law who passed away years ago. Sue, who lived on the nearby lake, was a beloved mother to four awesome daughters and a passionate nature lover.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it there for WNC, but I really hope I can. If not, have a great time. _________________ "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods..." - Lord Byron |

Funny you said that jrest. There used to be another nearby cache that this was the closest parking spot, and even though it was an abandoned driveway with signs that said "no parking", many a cacher used to use it to make a quick run for the cache! Well, at least I did!
If take your cords and you look on Bing maps using the "Birds Eye View" and zoom in or out a bit, you will see all the new construction with the off ramp and other stuff there now. So, long story short, not sure if your coords will work anymore? Or, maybe you have first hand knowledge or better map than the Bing one (Which I have found to be WAY WAY WAY more current than anything from "googly". Good luck.
PS- Since this park is very new, I am assuming that if you drive around a bit, you will find a parking lot for it. However, since it is so new, it probably isn't on any of the sat photos. _________________ "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods..." - Lord Byron |

Just to manually input them? On the Garmin's I've had, you advance to the "Go To..." screen, then you have to hit the down arrow to find "Coordinates." It's always been the very bottom one on the input screen for me. |

| I bought the Nuvi 500, it's made for geocaching. I just drop a PQ in and I'm ready to go. It shows all the caches on the map and cache info. Plus you can log them in and the map shows them found. It's a good tool for getting to close parking most of the time. Then I use my other gpsr. |

I got my wife the nuvi 200 for Christmas a few years ago. Sounds like she needs an upgrade for Valentine's Day! _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |
