A couple of cams I put up when I am doing paperwork and don't need the computer screen

www.lsmma.com/camfs.html
I love watching the ore boats enter the harbor!

www.trains.com/webcams/rochelle_current.asp
If you like trains there are about 100 a day that go past this cam.

Jamie Zawinksi's site can swallow hours of your time. Jamie was employee #20 at Netscape, and he as a unique writing style that you will either love or hate. He is one of my personal heroes.

Great looking website. Much better than his Star Tribune articles. Very cool.
Or........
Defies everything you ever though you knew about gays, or conservatives. Yep, a staunch gay conservative! Amazing blogger. Really appeals to "enlightened", non-homophobic conservatives. Never bangs the gay drum, but he does not let you forget it. As insightful as it gets.

Can you tell I'm an evil Republican? Twisted Evil

www.nasa.gov is a great site, and I've been a fan even before the latest Mars stuff started. You can link from there to get ephemeris for visible satellites (http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings/cities/viewsighting.cgi?St_Paul.html or http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings/SSapplications/Post/JavaSSOP/JavaSSOP.html), and find out when you can see stuff like the International Space Station, MIR, etc. Before the hiatus with the Shuttle program, I would look that up, and actually saw the Shuttle dock with the ISS a couple years ago, based on the viewing times for our area that I pulled off the website. I've always had an interest in the space program, and I've had coworkers go to Florida just to watch a space launch, and my mom and step-dad who live in California have gone to Edwards to watch the Shuttle land, and I want to do those two things before I die.

I'm a daily visitor there too, Tango. I also like space.com as well. It covers all worldwide space news including NASA, Europe, Japan and China. Mars is uber-cool but I'm also following the X-prize competition, especially Burt Rutan's Space Ship One. 2004 should mark the first year that a private company sends people into orbit.
