I saw a post on FB about 2011 geocaching goals, and I was curious if anyone has any goals for 2012? Mine is to fill up my D/T grid!

Goals for 2011 were to make progress on the D/T grid, and complete the Golden Valley Challenge. Both complete.

For 2012 -
finish the D/T grid; hopefully early in the year,
Complete at least 1000 caches for the year,
Complete Finds for Each Day of the Year Grid,
Maintain or Increase the Average Difficulty (1.9) and Average Terrain (1.76) score. (this will be tough),
Not increase the Longest Slump (currently 11 days)
Archive and replace many of our caches.
Complete a total of 100 Virtual caches (not sure how we'll do this! currently at 86)
Emphasize less traditional caches: Letterboxes, webcam, CITO, Earth, Multi, Puzzle

All 2011 goals accomplished. 2012 goals are..

- Complete WI county challenge.
- Add 5 more state's OLDEST caches to my completed list.
- Add at least 7 more states cached in.
- Take care of that embarrasing 1 find in Manitoba and find several others.
- Take the world record in webcam finds, 2nd place is just not acceptable.
- Hold the 5th annual canoe-in geocaching event.

- Complete calendar grid challenge - so I don't have to save easy caches near home for days I will need (42 days left!)
- Complete Minnesota State Park Wildlife Safari (19 left, Deadline May 2)
- Find more caches than I did in 2011 (which was my lowest calendar year yet)
- Attend more MEGA events (believe I made 0 last year...)
- Add at least 1 to the number of states I've cached in
- Work on more challenges! - I find it much more fun to cache with a goal in mind instead of just finding some random area to cache in.

We have three goals
1. pass up Bobcam

2. get a cache in every state, we have five to go

3. cache in three more countries, we have 33 so far

ok, so #1 is not doable, but you gotta dream don't ya

2. Raise my average D/T to 2.0 for both (I am now close and there is a challenge for this in Sioux Falls, SD)

My goal is to find a new 2013 calendar for the mayan's so we have more time.
