Your nominations for December Cache of the Month are:
GC2PJTM - GEO-CLUE: A Lead Pipe Cinch? by salsman nominated by GUROJO
salsman's creative puzzle is both challenging and a lot of fun. The puzzle will make you smile but the cache itself will make you laugh. The design of the container is unique as is the delivery system for the log. Most favor this one right away as one of the best caches in the area. If you haven't had a chance to get it yet, do yourself a favor and enjoy this caching experience.
GC2RQMC - Bemidji Legacy: Downtown Bemidji by Fargnots nominated by team_geomonkey
I always look forward to caching this area, but this last time I was treated to some fairly new ones that have a few requirements I had not used before making each stage even more unique and fun!
GC32JC0 - The Dead Zone by mnpilot nominated by Copaman
A bunch of us were out caching on 11/11/11, and we came across this one. "No sweat," we thought as we walked to it. Well, it was more challenging than it appears. I've seen a lot of clever hides, but never have seen one quite like this one. It was well done, and had us stumped longer than just about any of other 35+ caches we encountered all day. This was very well done, gave a us all big smilies, and was probably the biggest surprise of the day.
GC30WRD- Why be angry with (spuke)? by (spuke) nominated by EPMinnesota
I worked on the answers for the puzzle and headed to stage 1 where I received more info. I found out I had mistaken the thousandth digit of phi for the thousandth digit of pi. My mistake sent me home to find the correct answer. I headed back another day and found the 2nd stage but couldn't quite figure out how to retrieve the log. It dawned on me later that day what to do. I headed back a couple days later, made the find, chuckling all the while and then chatted with (spuke) for a bit. I really enjoyed the effort and cleverness that went into this cache and I think once you find it and meet (spuke) if you haven't already, you'll enjoy the adventure too!
Voting will be open till the end of the month*. Good luck to all the nominees and keep those great caches coming!
*Note: Due to how the polling works in phpBB the poll may be open for some time past 11:59:59 pm on the last day of the month, or may end sometime during the last day of the month. While we will do what we can to make sure this doesn't happen, there is no reason to wait till the last minute. You get one vote and it counts the same no matter when you make it. When a poll is open it is set to be open for a certain number of days, so if for some reason the poll can't be open right at 11:59:59 (say a production issue at work, busy with non-caching activities, feel asleep, etc) then there will be some 'bonus' voting time. |

Patience All...msteffel will take care of this thread. Keep in mind it is a holiday weekend and some of us (mainly me) don't go out for the "big" celebration... _________________ You may only be young once...but I will be immature forever!!! |

Congrats to Fargnots and all the nominees as 'Bemidji Legacy: Downtown Bemidji' has been voted December 2010 Cache of the Month in a very close vote.
Remember that being nominated is an honor that few caches receive, keep those high quality caches coming! |
