I'm looking for authentic restaurants for a variety of cultural cuisines. Can anyone help?

Any recommendations for a truly Eastern Indian restaurant?

How about Italian?

Egyptian?

Greek?

Any others?

The Gasthaus Bavarian Hunger out in Stillwater probably has the best German food around the area (as far as restaurants go).

My favorite Indian place is http://www.biryanicuisine.com/ in Edina. http://www.indiapalace.org/ in Eden Prairie is almost as good, http://www.tasteofindia-online.com/ in Golden Valley is pretty good too.

I haven't been there in a while but Blue Nile had good Ethiopian. http://www.bluenilempls.com/

Christos has Greek food and it seemed OK to me. The one on 7 looked closed when I passed by it on Thursday.

best Mexican in town I would sat is El loro.
Italian I would have to say Booca, go hungry and bring the family.

Keep them comming, we are also absorbing all this. I love food, especially if it was featured on Diners Drive in's and dives on the food network.
