A new cacher D.bail is using a Verizon Android phone. He has run into difficulty with the Groundspeak ap in that it seems to depend on live Google or Yahoo maps. In some locations, the maps don't load because of poor G3 coverage.

Is there a way to load OSM maps and keep them local and go ahead and cache? Seem the GPS function is fine.

I would HIGHLY doubt it, but it's more of a question for the app developers...
