Nothing major, but with ALL the new caches last night, I noticed something odd in them.
They all come from noreply@geocaching.com. But some have the real name of Groundspeak and some are Geocaching. They are all the same email type (new cache notification) but different real names in the from address.
Being a software engineer, I wonder if that's a defect or if they did that on purpose.

I have noticed that too. Being so close to the state line and with a FTF notification range of 30 mi I get E-mails for both states.
I've noticed that the ones published by "IowaAdmin" come from groundspeak and the ones published by "MN.Fruitcake" were sent from "Geocaching".
The reviewer's choice? I don't know.
What's you're opinion MN.Fruitcake? |

I E-mailed groundspeak with this question and this was there response:

| Thank you for contacting Groundspeak. Our email notifications jump from Groundspeak to Geocaching simply because they deal with different parts of the business. If you have more detailed questions regarding this request, please feel free to contact me. |
