Your nominations for October Cache of the Month are:
GC2YQ0J - MN LPC Series - jicknarson by jicknarson nominated by Aix sponsa
I know that this is a lamppost cache but it is not what you are expecting. The design went far above anything else that I have seen in this type of a cache or many other caches of any kind. It is definitely a must see and find!
In addition, the location is very helpful to anyone coming into the area. The nearby building houses the Iron Range Tourism Bureau. The IRTB occupies spaces #117 and #118 in the building located at 111 Station 44 Road in Eveleth. The office hours remain the same of Monday-Friday, 8AM to 5PM. The bureau is also open to visitors in need of travel information while in the area.
GC2R2DK - Mike by Bobcam nominated by mazzmn
This one cache is in the middle of a 30+ cache, excellently done, power trail. Mike is on a fairly new bike trail, you can start from the Zumbrota Covered bridge park and head out through a canopy of trees, even one bridge on the trail is a covered bridge. (look for one of Minnesota's older caches on this trail as well). Great cords, lots of ammo cans and an all around super job setting this up. Thanks Bobcam!
GC2R2VH - Jumping Jak by Jaklimber nominated by salsman
Us SE MN caches are spoiled when it comes to *anything* Jaklimber. All of his caches are well planned out and executed. Each unique in there own way. Different, it seems, from any other cache out there.
On a night when I had the pleasure of finding 8 of his caches -- where any one of them could stand alone as cache of the month, this one stood head and shoulders above them all. It's simple, elegant, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I can't say more without giving away the surprise, but it's the *only* cache I've found where I got clobbered in the head with a rake ... then went back in for more!
Voting will be open till the end of the month*. Good luck to all the nominees and keep those great caches coming!
*Note: Due to how the polling works in phpBB (there may be other ways around it that I'm not familiar with) the poll may be open for some time past 11:59:59 pm on the last day of the month. When a poll is open it is set to be open for a certain number of days, so if for some reason the poll can't be open right at 11:59:59 (say a production issue at work, busy with non-caching activities, feel asleep, etc) then there will be some 'bonus' voting time. |

We've been caching since '06, and our 8 yr. old has liked many of the caches we've found; but never in that period of time has he said "IMPRESSIVE" to a cache until this one!!! As soon as he lifted the skirt, that word came out of his mouth, not once, but 3 times in a row!!!
My only complaint, the woods were so thick, we couldn't find the ammo can right away!!!
Way to go Jane!!!

OMG!, what a selection! I found the LPC last weekend (and was already familiar with it) and know that it is an awesome cache, more than worthy of CotM. But a special Bobcam cache (remember when that meant a film can in a spruce tree?) and a Jaklimber cache too? High stakes here!! _________________ Alcohol & calculus don't mix. Don't drink & deriv |

| I don't vote often on CofM but I must say that Jumping Jak by jaklimber is awsome. My partners and I got a good laugh and we were totally amazed at how clever this cache is. I believe this is a must find on anyone's list. |

| We've had the great pleasure of logging finds on some of Jaklimbers very creative and well executed Caches. As it has been said, may of which individually qualify for COTM. This specific Cache was quite simple in it's execution but extremely well thought out in it's design! Guarantee that if you log a smiley the real smile will be on your face!! Thanks Jon! |

| I agree with Commander & Chief and others that many of jaklimber's creative caches are worthy of COTM consideration. This one is especially clever and fun. You will love it. It took a lot of thought and effort to create this unique container and caching experience. |

| Jumping Jak by jaklimber gets my vote. I nearly died laughing when mngeezer and I came upon this one. Jaklimber comes up with some of the most creative hides I have ever found. |

Too bad they weren't all signed on at the same time!

Well, I can now say that I have found all three nominees. All three are great, but all three are also totally different kinds of great.
The one up north is very creative, very unique, and a good laugh.
Bobcam's MIKE might fare better if it had lesser competition. Nice physical challenge, but most of us that have been around for a while have done something similar, if not more extreme.
Jaklimber is my favorite Minnesota hider, bar none, and that was fun and challenging hide. I found one or two others by him today, though, that I think were even better.
I made my vote before today, and I don't think I would change it, but it would be much tougher to vote after today. We've got some very good selections this month! _________________ Alcohol & calculus don't mix. Don't drink & deriv |

| I find myself in total agreement with Knowschad. I, too, have found all three caches nominated. Each is unique and worthy of the nomination, but in the end I do think that one stood out (ever so slightly) among the rest. |

| I went and found Jumping Jak today. While a tree climbing cache will always get my favorite point, there's no comparison between two of the three caches listed here. I doubt I'll make it north to find the other before voting ends. |
