| Yay!!!! I'm glad to have this next step. It's nice to see a map, but it seems to me that some liberties have been taken in declaring areas not open to geocaching that were not designated that way by the original committee. Hopefully I'm wrong there and I'll look into it more when I have more time. I'm thrilled right now. |
I don't know where the map originated from, but I have two suggestions here:
1. It seems like this should come from the MnGCA instead of an individual (and I understand that you're not necessarily going at it as an individual).
2. It seems like it may be best to sit on it for a month.
My personal $0.02. _________________ Hmm... |

It looks like all the parks designated as "within 25 feet of a trail" are marked in red as NO geocaching on this map?
As well as the parks that are completely off limits that are red too.
Did they restrict more areas? Does there need to be "yellow" on the map for the "within 25 feet" part? Seems like not a functional tool for either cache review or placement planning.

| Oh nevermind, the tiny green lines in the red areas are the trail corridors, correct? |

The green is areas where we can publish the cache, the red is areas where we cannot. I'm not clear why there would need to be a yellow area...?
The green corridors are generally, as I understand it, the trails. Certain parks only allow for caches within a distance from the trail, which would be those green corridors (again, as I understand things). |

Familar as I am with Our Fair City and its park system -- the green corridors are definitely the trails. I get it now. Slwo but teachable. |

I'm not sure if the question is in jest or not (since I think we've only seen one or two since the new policy)...

Your previous post had mentioned waiting for a month so now it's been a month. I was wondering the same thing. |

Ahh, I see. My previous post was intended to be in reference to KRedEP's post about some areas being arbitrarily declared off-limits and the idea of going back to EP to get it fixed or start the discussion, not about hiding caches in general. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused. _________________ Hmm... |

Well, for some of us it's not hard to do. |
