I published one just to see what it was like. I can see how this might get way out of hand. If i start getting all kinds of spam, i will just archive it. I probably won't go out of my way to do any unless I am on a caching run and see something interesting to do.
Do you think this is their answer to opencaching by Garmin? No reviewers, just post at will? _________________ If you're successful in what you do over a period of time, you'll start approaching records, but that's not what you're playing for. | I completed the worldwide challenge CX3 "Kiss a Frog" and published an action challenge "Minnesota River Puzzle." I don't know how the challenges will work out but figured I should jump in instead of sitting on the sidelines and complaining. |

A challenge to send an email to one of the Groundspeak admins telling him to get rid of challenges. It had a lot of positives votes. |

It is interesting to see how quickly new 'challenges' are being disabled! _________________ "We never seek things for themselves-what we seek is the very seeking of things"-Pascal |

I keep finding myself thinking that this whole new challenge system is connected to the idea of Groundspeak not wanting to overwork volunteer reviewers, which is connected to the idea that one solution would be to actually, like, pay cache reviewers for their work.
*gasp* |

Don't know, since they claim there are no reviewers involved. _________________ "We never seek things for themselves-what we seek is the very seeking of things"-Pascal |

| i'm still on the fence about the way they are implementing their new challenge icon. but i as well have done the kiss the frog thing for s's and g's and now came up with a challenge of my own, http://coord.info/CX436 i am also interested to see how many false logs will appear, i could see these becoming very annoying very quickly. |

Good thing I'm out of town now that this geocaching calamity has struck.
SID, what was your challenge about? |

SID's was "Challenge of the Thumbs Vote"; you had to post a picture of a thumb up or down and optionally write an email to GC.com.
I published a location-based one, but I fully expect it to be deleted out of spite. Yes, it's lame. |
