Another bomb scare due to a geocache.

WHEATON (STMW) - A geo-caching device is being blamed for a police investigation that stopped four Metra trains for nearly several hours near west suburban Wheaton on Wednesday afternoon.
Both police and fire personnel responded and secured the area. The item was seen hanging from a fishing line, suspended underneath the overpass, the release said... |

I've been doing it wrong this whole time!
In all seriousness though... A little brain power before hiding things could prevent a lot of bomb scares like this...[/b] |

In reading the logs for this cache, it's interesting to see that the cacher (who also has a rather unfortunate name for this sort of thing) that the police called about this one, was also involved in an earlier incident of great significance at a different cache. His log at that cache here: http://coord.info/GC2CE54 The police may have him on their speed dial after this.
Lessons learned: get permission, watch for muggles |

It sounds like they DID have him on their speed dial. He hadn't even found the cache.. |

| Lesson learned, well maybe the reviewer will be more diligent. Those people that like to place hides like this, seek them and say nothing and even give them favorite points will continue to do so. As far as non-cachers you are way better off telling them what you are doing than trying to hide your actions they could really care less about the game but you will alleviate their fears by simply talking to them. |

Its located in Illinois. _________________ Remember One does not need the MNGCA to geocache, but the MNGCA does need members to survive. |
