|
I'm planning on caching the North Shore and ending with Alvin's Phone Line this summer.
Anyone have a list of quality caches? That is caches that bring you to those great locations with a nice view or interesting surroundings. And of course well done hides. No micro in the woods or lampskirts.
I know I can do a query and sort the top favorites. But I don't want to miss a great hide. Thanks |

On the north shore, even lampskirts are nice hides.
- Silver Island Treasure
- Black Beach
- Silver Cliff
- ANY of the Safari caches in the state parks
- Do the caches overlooking the Pigeon River on the Ontario side |

Also........
~ I Can See For Miles and Miles.
~ Shovel Point Prize.
~ North Shore Mine Overlook.
~ T.P. Agate Exchange.
There's quite a few quality caches along old/scenic hwy. 61 too.
As Bart stated.......
It's hard to find a bad cache along the North Shore!!
Some of the caches on the SHT are well worth the hike!!

| Thanks all for the ideas. I did a query of ALL caches between Duluth and Silver Bay. Then Hwy#1 to Ely. More ideas are welcome. Thanks. |

Dark Passage - neat old train tunnel
pretty much the caches out to the end of Minnesota Point - great walk and cool views. Will also get you through Canal Park, for good food too, some earth and virtual cahces near there (Canal Park) as well.
Lava Ridge Rest Stop - another great hike with some cool views and trails through the woods.
Enger Tower- fun to go up to the top of the tower after finding the cache
Was at the MnGCA event in Chester Park this past weekend, the caches up on top of the hill were cool, again a neat view over the lake. _________________ round n' round we go! |
