Do Surfer Joe a favor and after placing a cache, be sure that they don't fit into any of the following areas:

http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/RegionalTrails.kmz (197k) [Dakota Rail Line in Carver County only]
http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/SNA.kmz (107k)
http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/WPA.kmz (1.4MB)
http://maps.dnr.state.mn.us/compass/wma/kml/mndnr_wmas.kmz

Please be sure to have prior approval for caches in these areas:

http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/ramsey.kmz (31k)
http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/StateParks.kmz (290k)
http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/SuperiorNationalForest.kmz (130k)

Please be sure to follow the guidelines for these areas:

http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/StateForests.kmz (500k)

How about a tutorial on how to use the above files for those that don't understand what to do with them?

Open them in Google Earth. Plot a cache. If it's inside a boundary line you either need to register it or you need to remove it depending on the area.

I have updated the list to include Regional Trails. If you want to overlay the Counties map over it, download http://www.lazylightning.org/boundaries/mncounties-sorted.kmz as well.

Surfer Joe asked me to provide the boundaries for the Superior National Forest so I have added them here as well. If you need the Chippewa for some reason, I have that data as well.

When you open the "Features" folder, the Highway 96 points are off the coast of Africa.
