The board received the following request.

I'm looking for someone to teach a class about Geocaching , possibly an
Intro to Geocaching or a very basic "cache" event in Sauk Rapids, MN
located near St. Cloud and am wondering who I could contact. I can be

Is there anyone in the Sauk Rapids/St Cloud area that would be willing to help?

I could help if the class is in the evening or weekend. Other cachers in the area that may be able to help are Jam3s, Squatchmeb, Kurt Franke, and Rainmaker29. It really depends on the time for me.

I just spoke with Kari from Sauk Rapids/Rice ISD47 Community Ed. She is looking for a class on Geocaching, sometime in May. It should probably be some classroom presentation and then perhaps some local caches, temps perhaps.

It would be up to the presenters to pick the date/time. ISD47 will provide the classroom space. She would like to have the date picked by the week in order to publish in the Community Ed book they send out.

I would be willing if there is anyone else available to help out.

Talked to Rainmaker29 and Jam3s tonight at a cache and they seemed willing. I've done a community ed class in Foley before. Just depends on the weekend in May for me to help.

I've taught courses in my home town before; I don't think I can show up to help, but let me know if I can offer you any planning help, or suggestions, advice or anything.

I presented a class for the people I work with and have a nifty Powerpoint presentation that I can share. It includes basic information and photos, but they can easily be substituted for your own - it would be a start for someone if they don't have a PowerPoint yet, or heck, I'm in Minneapolis, I'd love to do a basic class in Sauk Rapids. Volunteers welcomed and needed. Looking for a couple of cachers to help out. I know there is some good interest in this already.
