I guess I'm out for the next few Wednesdays. I'm looking forward to joining back up when things free up for me. I'm hoping to pick this one up on my own. Definitely not as fun. Have fun! |

This lake has aeration but I'm not sure where it is, or if it has started yet this year. I just know it was aerated last year. When we did the cache today, we didn't have any feeling of unsafe ice. If someone were concerned, most of the walk is near shoreline.
A couple weeks ago some silly teens broke their truck through the ice.

Again, you wouldn't walk near this, but you can see the 'Thin Ice' signs in the distance.
Street parking on Village Woods Drive. A plowed trail down to the lake and a nice walk to the cache. Wish I was with you! |

I thought we were tied up for supper. Turns out it's a lunch date. Means I can head over to Red Rock Lake around 7:30! |

| With the changes I needed to make to my school schedule, I may or may not be able to come after all, but I'll be at Hennepin Tech (which is conveniently right around the corner), so if class gets out early, I'll probably make it. |

There is a possibilty that I will be able to be there. I work 2nd shift, but I have to go into work early. 8 frickin am early . oops, sorry, very early. I may be free by than. So how does it work. Can I assume you meet up the eating venue than go to the cache. Or is it vice verse? |

Hey there, 3humphs!
It's caching, then eating. Meet the the suggested meeting coords in the first post.
(I keep reminding myself to come to these again, but the last time I was able to go there was no event, and this time I've already got the cache. I hope to make one soon, though!) |

| If anyone is interested in some pre-caching (or just wants to laugh at me searching before telling me were it is) I'm going to be looking for INSPIRATION: Smile and It Could Be a Dry One at around 6:15. If I do that it will leave me at 999 finds, and Red Rock will make 1000. |

| I'm going out now to set up and do some fishing, likely in the deeper part straight out from that cache. Anyone want to join? I'll be in a blue portable, I'll have crappie minnows and suckers and waxworms. Maybe a couple extra poles, just need to get them strung up. Just need a license! cincity should hopefully come out later when she gets off work, and I hope to do some scouting to see where the fishies are. Let me know! I have one extra seat in the house, and last year caught northerns, bass and sunnies out there. |

| Upon checking about the aeration system in the lake, I'll see if any signs are posted prohibiting night driving or vehicle size for the lake. As I recall, the aeration last year was just east of the winter access point on the south side of the lake, and was clearly marked, with no restrictions at night except it was a very well marked area. We'll see, I'm sure i'll talk to someone before anyone heads out. |

| Not plowed but ice is 14-15 inches. I didn't catch anything but tiny sunnies so headed over to lake Susan. If anyone still wants to meet, I'll go back over. Fun fishing, just nothin of any size.... |
