| I gave EPJoe my old Oregon 400t as I now have a 550t. He discovered that the base map is missing. It must have gone away when I reformatted the unit to clear up a problem. I never noticed the missing map, as I've been using the City Navigator chip and sometimes OSM Routable. Is there any way to get that file back, and where should it go in the 400t? |

Have you looked to make sure it is enabled? On the map to go to menu, setup map and then go to select map and hit enter. See if it is disabled? |

TWS:
I found the file on my new 550t. It's in the Garmin folder, and its name is gmapprom.img.
File size approx. 2.8 GB. It took about 1/2 hour to load from the Garmin onto my desktop, and then over an hour to spoon feed into the 400t (It was missing, a casualty of reformatting the unit). It works fine now. |
