I was just coming here to post that. You beat me to it!
At $20 per chirp for something that requires a Garmin (I think.... some smartphones can receive the signal too, right?), and then only certain models, I'm not seeing an immediate future in these. But I suspect we will first see them used in conjunction with WhereIGo caches.

I'm not aware of any device besides the garmin handhelds that can receive the signal. This is the same wireless technology that allows some garmin users to send waypoints to on another. _________________ Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. |
