GC2TM1H Minnesota's 4th Annual Canoe-in Geocaching Event
WHAT: Minnesota's 4rd Annual Canoe-in Geocaching Event
WHEN: Saturday August 20th, 2011
WHO: EVERYONE.. paddlers, bikers, hikers, visitors, etc
FOOD: As usual, BYO. Bart will provide sweet corn and a hot BBQ
WHERE: TWO OPTIONS on the table..
Same as years past, drop boats in at Cannon Falls and paddle/bike to final event at Miesville Ravine.
or
Drop boats in at Miesville Ravine and paddle to final event in Welch. Bikers would have to determine their own starting point as there is not a river crossing between Cannon Falls and Welch.
I plan on camping Friday and Saturday night. Since Byllesby campsites are already booked full this weekend, I will be camping at Hidden Valley Campground.
In fact, I will be contacting Hidden Valley Campground this week to see if they have the facilities and would be willing to allow our event at their campground.

a good time to change locations, since all the old caches are likely gone now.

If you plan on attending and you need to RENT a boat (canoe, kayak or raft), contact Cannon Falls Bike and Canoe Rental ASAP and make your RESERVATION. The rental shop has never been busier.

| The sweet corn crop will be in very good shape this summer in spite of the early rains. Picking starts last week of July which means sweet corn is a go at the event. Mmm. |

| Less than two weeks away. If you're joining us at the event and you plan on paddling and need to rent a boat, get your reservation in ASAP. It does not cost a thing to reserve. |

Sounds like fun but oh, my, I wouldn't even know where to begin to look to reserve such a thing. |

Hmmm...maybe he better avoid any appearance of impropriety and just send it my way. I am in need of one and haven't been able to get over to Fleet Farm to grab one. |
