Nominations for August cache of the month are open now (from July 1st to July 31st). For full details check here, but the short version - if you find an outstanding cache recently, reply to this post with the caches name and what made it so special that you want to nominate it for Cache of the Month! What could be easier?
So fight off those mosquitoes the size of birds and find those caches and keep those high quality caches coming!! |

| We nominate “Ribbon” GC2686J by GeoPierce for cache of the month. This cache contains many of the things we enjoy most about geocaching. It is in a park; it is not a Park-n-Grab; it is a puzzle; it even contains a little “tease” about what you might expect when you seek it. Puzzles (especially ones we are able to solve) are some of our favorites. This puzzle you do not have to solve before you get there. Don’t overlook this puzzle, anyone can get started on this one! It is extremely creative in its design and very well done! Thanks GeoPierce for putting this one out for us! |

I have one, but I'm really really busy until I go back to work on the 29th. Help me remember.
The cache owner is not interested.

| I'd like to nominate GC1C2Q8--You Gotta Love Golden Valley History by K0TLG and sparkyfry. It is a 13-step multicache which can be done in about two hours by someone who knows their way around town, and offers helpful tips such as nearby caches for each step, and even offers hints on some local puzzles--with the COs' permission. |

Thanks for the nomination, Rosebud! This is an honor for K0TLG and me, and we couldn't have done it without help from many other cachers, including Brooklyn51, spstanley, and all the cachers who donated puzzle locations -- particularly Bobcam, whose idea it was to include waypoint projections. |

Sad! Cache of the Month doesn't just give 'accolades' (and I guess I don't consider adding an optional image on your cache page all that glamorous to those that are nominated and win CotM, it also serves as a list for others to seek out some of the highest quality caches in MN. IMHO, it would be a shame for someone to miss out on this cache, but I guess you also need to take the cache owner's interest in mind.
Maybe they'd be ok with adding it to the "Recommended Caches"? But thanks for keeping CotM in mind and of course all you do for caching! |
