Tired of the same old banner (quick note - thanks to GeoPierce for it's creation!)? Think you can do something better/different?
We're interested in collecting an assortment of banners that will be rotated, so that instead of having one banner, we'll have a selection of banners to choose from for use on the site.
If you're interested in creating a banner (and we hope that you are), you'll need to heed these simple requirements:
The banner must contain either the MnGCA logo or the words "Minnesota Geocaching Association", or a combination of the two, in some fashion. The logo cannot be modified other than it's size.
The banner must be 777px × 150px (the size of the current banner)
The board and/or webmasters reserve the right to reject or cease using any banner submitted without cause.
If you're interested or have further questions, post them here or contact the webmaster. _________________ Hmm... |

I'm interested in creating a new banner but I'm looking for pictures (or ideas) of people geocaching in Minnesota. Any pictures are fine, I will create another collage similar to the current banner. Please send pictures full-size (not cropped or resized) to danpierce@gmail.com. _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

| Thanks GeoPierce...I think the rotating idea is really cool! That way it is possible to represent the variety of cachers we have in Minnesota and show that geocaching is truly a sport for all types. I've got some pictures that I've collected from doing geocaching articles I've written. I'll send some to you as options to add to your collection of possibilities. I've got some nice shots of men and women, kids and adults of all ages that could be used. And the best part is they've all already given their permission for the photos to be used publicly. Thanks for your willingness to collect photos and do the work of the banners. That's awesome! |

Wow - excellent!
I've incorporated all of them!
The front page banner now is randomized with one of the 5 banners that we have (these four plus GP's original banner). Others (RudeRat or anyone else)?
This is great! _________________ Hmm... |

In celebration of 10 Years of Geocaching, Ruderat has designed a set of banners (nine!) for the front page. I've put these up in place of the other selection of banners and will probably leave them up by themselves for a week or so, then either return to the other set or mix these in with the other set.
Thanks Ruderat! _________________ Hmm... |
