When we went last year, we took our entire cooler and bags of food with us to Young's Bay. We were camping and there was no way we were leaving any of it at our campsite. The cooler was clearly visible in the back seat of our car and we did not have any issues. We even had one bottle of wine and no one cared.

If you are taking fish or other game across the borders, you need to know your limits and regulations. Also, if you have alcohol in the vehicle, you will need to know how much is acceptable to take across. Be sure to allow for enough time to be searched in case it is that type of day at the border.
