Since Kitch and Silent Bob had such great success with this type of event last time, I decided to do the same, only this time in the Crystal area. Event was posted and approved in short time. Event date is Sat. March 13th at 1900, pre event caching in the area most likely will happen as well.
Waypoint for the event is GCHTAP and can be located at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=b701a893-a3e5-419a-bbee-65a37fadf609

How great is that? Too bad there is no cache GCBEER Marsha will be in town for her Spring Break and we should be attending. She was bummed she missed out on the last one. It won't be the same w/o Kitch's "sauced" antics but at least we will have rickrich to entertain us

Maybe you can claim Non-linear Kelsey is a seeing eye dog and we can get her some sauce too

I would *love* to go - the first one was my first event... but I'll be in West Virginia that weekend caching with an old friend who moved there from Bulgaria.
So instead of drinking shots at Wild Wings and Caching around Crystal, I'll be drinking Vodka and Rakiya and caching in the Appalachian Mountains.
In any other circumstances I would attend the event, though. Thanks for hosting it.

I spent a lot of time camping, hiking, and canoeing in W. VA in my youth. One year, we went camping there 13 weekends in a row. It rained every weekend. It was like a gamblers nightmare: doubling up your bet because the next time just *has* to be a winner.
However, I'm not sure if your friend from Bulgaria was "trading up" or "trading down" when s/he moved to W. VA.

From my point of view, trading down. From her and her family's point of view, I think, trading up. She graduated from the only English-language school in Rousse, Bulgaria and attempted for a long time to get a college education in the west. She had never left Bulgaria before. I met her because she applied to Macalster but didn't make it in. Long story. Either way, she's at Concord College now in Athens, WV, where there is surprisingly large population of Bulgarians there that go to that school. I haven't seen her in about 2 years now so I'll find out soon what her thoughts are about America now (well, West Virginia) and get her opinion on if she really has "traded up."
Woah, offtopic. Sorry.

S4xton, you work at Mac? So does my mother-in-law. Anyhow, since this get-sauced event is on Saturday, it looks like I'll be there--looks like I can do a two-fer at this one and get Crystal-lized as well!!! (sorry--borrowing the old motto from the Crystal Bar in Bozeman, MT). _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

I don't. She found me online (on ICQ!) around 1998 as being from Saint Paul, and she simply was looking for people around her age from Saint Paul to give her honest opinions about Macalaster from locals.

P.S. Sorry this thread has been partially hijacked. It's mostly my fault. Private message me if you have West Virginia/Bulgaria thoughts/questions. =) |

If the wife doesn't have to go out that night I'll be there. If she does, well it's my turn with the kids. Either way, I guess I win. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |
