I've been averaging about 4 days between queries and receiving the e-mail with the gpx file attached. I've started just going through the pages after the query run and doing a select all and then download loc for each page. At least that way I can start my analysis while waiting on the snail service the Jermey has running. So again, what additional benefit am I getting by paying to be a member. Someone please remind me? _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

I give up. I can't access ANYTHING to archive, disable, edit, upload. Everybody in the flippin' geocache world must be trying to get 'cache info.
On Saturday night, 8:51 pm local time, I give up, Jeremy. You win. |

I issue only on-demand queries so I can control exactly when the query is run (crontab for linuxers), and by and large the emails arrive within 10 minutes of issuing the query. Sometimes the email is delayed by an hour or so. Every so often the PQ machine is completely wedged and doesn't run the query at all until Jeremy restarts it. That fix usually happens when he gets up in the morning.
The problem in this case is none of the above. The email arrived within 10 minutes of issuing the query, but the data in the PQ was stale. This has happenend several times in the past couple of weeks. |

The amount of cache logging in MN has dropped to just a trickle in recent weeks. We were logging more caches with 2 feet of snow on the ground than we are now.
If the servers really are keeling over from load, its load from the other 49. See also Florida real estate.
If you guys would just dual list your caches on Navicache, we'd have a great start on setting up a regional cache site. Thats because Navicache allows downloading of their complete database. Once our caches are listed there, anybody who is motivated to start a better site will have an instant database they can tap to get it off the ground.

I normally dual list my caches there but I can't remember if I click to allow them access to the open database. I would prefer that I be asked for permission to allow them in to someone else's setup. It's not that I don't want them to be "open" it's that I don't trust what someone would do when they are.
Just what we need... Another Jod running the show at a different theatre. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

| Haven't been active since the ground thawed, and just when I start back up, I can't get anywhere. Three bugs left to activate, but I may have to wait until things freeze over. Something else will freeze over befor I pay any money to take this kind of abuse. Hopefully the ticks die soon, ragweed too. |

Better at 4am than 9am. At least that way most people aren't using the site. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
