| I have my campsite booked at Tetteguche State Park for Memorial Day weekend. The intention is to do the two infamous virtuals in the boundary waters on Saturday and then state park and other north shore caching Friday, Sunday and Monday. Iron Man Dan might be in on the deal and Jonsom is considering it. It sure would be nice to have a larger group along for the canoe rides. Anyone have an interest? |

Sorry I can't make it Memorial Weekend. Too many conflicts. I do plan on canoeing and caching the BWCA sometime this spring/summer. I can't wait.

If truly interested, PM me to stay in touch with plans. Jonsom can't make it. Iron Man Dan says it looks good but needs a way to transport a canoe. It is very likely that I can get an extra boat but I cannot carry two. Rumor has it that there is an outfitter at the Sawbill landing that rents boats.
My plan is to target Saturday for the paddle to the virtuals. I have comfirmed nothing with IMD but my idea is that we'll have a rendevous at the Sawbill Landing at 8:30AM and try to hit the water within 30 to 60 minutes of that point. If you happen to be staying at Tetteguche, we can convoy (reserve your campsite now, they're filling fast). Personally, I'll go in any weather as long as there is no electricity in the air.
Please confirm as soon as you know simply for people planning purposes. Hope to have you along. |

There is a very nice State Forest campground at the Sawbill Landing. Very nice large sites w/ some on the lake. Sawbill Outfitters are very good too. I have bought some year-end canoes and packs from them. _________________ Dinnae fash yersel (don't worry yourself) |

Agree with andrewmcc about sawbill outfitters. They were great, had a pile of stuff for rent, could completly outfit the adventure. That time of year, you may want to talk with them to make sure they have what you need, could be a busy rental weekend for them. _________________ round n' round we go! |

I'll give them a call.. should solve Iron Man Dan's problem. Now I have to ask myself if it'd be cheaper to rent or to haul my own boat 5 hours on top of the Tahoe (fuel consumption). |
