Dang woman. Missed you at COB B. Saw your name in some of the logs there when I was there last week.

Hi Camo,
Welcome Home!
We need to get out and cache and have a b!+(# session about Basra, 34th ID, etc. I never did get that Sweet Martha's container to you - I either threw it away or else it's in the conex with the rest of my stuff that I might never see again.
And AA, what are you doing over there? I need to make a note to myself not to apply with your employer, so I don't end back over there myself . _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

Hey 15Tango,
Missed you over there.
Yes we do. Give me a few weeks and we will schedule it. It's okay about the container. We'll get you your stuff - I'll keep my eye out for it and on it. |

Been over there twice now in two months. First time for 10 days, this time for 20.
Last trip was just to BIAP. This trip was a country wide tour. Tillil, Basra, Kirkuk, Balad, BIAP. Just doing site surveys and taking GPS coordinate for equipment to be installed.
Actually, taking the GPS coordinates was just an excuse to go geocaching while on base. To bad that both Kirkuk and Balad don't allow caching.
I'm back for a couple of months and probably won't go back again until April or so.
As as far as the company. Well in the 8 years I've worked for them, this was by far the best trip, I've ever taken (outside my actually military service). I got to get back close to the troops and do real work, on the ground, close and dirty. Yes I'm still coughing up dirt from the sand storms. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |
