The official event listing will go live on May 22nd and will be listed as..
GC278EQ Minnesota's 3rd Annual Canoe-in Geocaching Event
River cache maintenance run completed. Now in listing maintenance mode with missing or old cache archival and new caches to be published very soon.
Cache placement on the bike trail is 75% complete.
Cache placement in town and the park is 75% complete.
I am looking for anyone interested in hiding additional caches so I have something to find while at the event. |

That's the downside of being the Event Committee. |

Just an FYI to all those planning on attending this event. You'd probably better read this KSTP news article. I assumed she had been found but apparently not.

| People appeared to be out searching when we were down at Sensus Census Gauntlet last weekend and there was a small sign in the parking area stating a missing person but I didn't know who or how long ago. That's too bad. : ( |

| The corn cooker is out and the propane tank has been filled. I plan on providing 5 dozen ears of sweetcorn. |

Forecast: 85/65, clearing, warm, humid, with a big fat sun icon on the KSTP website.
I checked the river yesterday and it's running very nice. Great for paddling but be extra careful getting in and out while geocaching. |

looking forward to it!
first year: truck exploded, didn't get to paddle.
second year: got a ticket, was bummed (didn't realize it was only a warning till after I got home. )
third year: ????

Last year: Tipped the canoe in the first corner. 1 hour later, waterproof GPS ceased to function. Missed many caches because the other canoe in our group didn't realize which one was next. Canoe was leaky as heck. Got to finish late (but there was the best sweet corn ever left!!!), and had a warning ticket on my car.
Regardless of what this year brings, it's sure to be an adventure! I'm excited!!!
BTW, **DON'T PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY!!!**. Not sure if that's been emphasized enough |

should be great! The only bad part this year will probably be the humidity, but there's always a quick dip in the river to cool off!
Thanks for doing this again Bart. |
